Fundacion Tekniker organizes the Conference ‘The use of AI in the Manufacturing Industry’, this October in Spain!

We are very happy to announce that our project partner Fundacion Tekniker is organizing on October 27th the conference ‘ The use of AI in the Manufacturing Industry’, which will be held in the company’s HQs in Gipuzkoa, Spain.

People attending will have the opportunity to gain significant insights on the latest AI applications in the manufacturing industry, and also on AI’s short and long run impact on companies in the field.

We are very proud that our AI-PROFICIENT partners Julien Hintenoch from Continental, Benoit Lung from University de Lorraine, Sandra Seijo from Ibermatica and Aitor Arnaiz, Kerman López de Calle, and Ander Ansuategi from Tekniker will be part of this significant event, elaborating on the project’s latest activities and presenting its progress so far. In addition, during the last session of the Conference, there will be two live demos on the technologies used within our project: on additive manufacturing control, dialog and HMI interaction.

This allows manufacturers to make better decisions, reduce downtime and maintenance costs, and address problems quickly.​

      How should the developers engage the operators when developing the AI service and related apps and HMIs, with the goal of simplifying the job of confirming correct chemical product bag placement before production? ​

      The developers should work closely with the operators to design the services, choose the HMIs and adapt the apps, according to the actual work context. ​
      To implement an ethical by design user centered approach, the developers should work closely with the operators who will actually use the service. They should take care to understand the specific work conditions (dust, noise, time for tasks, etc.), discuss the planned solutions with the operator users, design initial mockups and discuss these with the operator users regularly in an iterative process as they develop the service. ​
